EyeCall
I came across this application over at the ovi store. The application is called EyeCall. Some of the mobile phone comes with a function that allows you to snooze your alarm and mute your calls just by waving your hands over the phone. Some of them by turning the phone upside down. This is not what E71 has, so what EyeSight did was to make use of the front camera to mimic the same function. Once the application is turned ON it will run in the background. So every time you receive a call in a middle of a discussion or meeting and your phone is on top of the table, you can just wave your hand on top of the phone and it will automatically mute the ringer. But another special thing that it does is the automatic SMS. It means, if you receive a call, you have the option of waving your hand over it to silent the phone or place your hand on top of your phone for 4-5 seconds and it will automatically send a pre-defined customizable message to whoever is calling you. The only thing though that might stop you from getting this application is, that it’s not for free. It costs around SGD7. As for me, I find it quite useful and it somehow prolongs my battery life. You’ll know once you get it. You may purchase it at the ovi store under the download menu in your E71. Just search for the application or get it directly from the EyeSight website.
